DAY TWO - TENORIO RIVER RAFTING

MORNING

After an early breakfast in the hotel, you will depart to the Guanacaste range of mountains. The 1½ hour journey ends in a scenic landscape on the banks of the Tenorio River. The twelve mile course incorporates 70 sets of rapids, winding between lush and untouched jungle and is the perfect wake up for the Ultimate Adventure Club. Travelling along canyons carved through primary rainforest you may spot some of the local inhabitants including howler and white faced monkeys and exotic tropical birds. The four hour raft adventure ends with a typical Costa Rican BBQ lunch that will be served on the river side. 

AFTERNOON

After lunch you will return to the hotel for some time at leisure, exploring the area, or simply kicking back on the beach or by the pool. 

EVENING

Dinner this evening will be at your LUAU style dinner party overlooking the ocean. Flip flops, board shorts and sunnies are all that’s required. For those with stamina remaining there is the opportunity to explore the bars and nightlife in lively Coco beach

DAY THREE

MORNING

Enjoy a full breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant before departing for today’s adventure. Fly through the tropical rainforest via a route of linked platforms and zip wires. A chance to experience a shot of adrenaline as you speed across the lines under a canopy of tropical forest and above a floor of lush vegetation. 

AFTERNOON

Following lunch you will have the opportunity for further adventure in TAMARINDO with a choice of an ATV, Kayak Tour or Surf Lesson.

 - ATV: Enjoy an exciting off-road trail as you drive through usually inaccessible areas of natural beauty. Your ATV will challenge the most varied of obstacles including fencing, rock fields, wandering livestock and a meandering river.  

 - Kayak Tour: Up close and personal takes on a real meaning as you explore rare wildlife including dozens of bird species, monkeys and the unique ecosystem within the mangroves. 

 - Surf Lesson: This is not just a lesson: it is the first step in surfing. After years of experience teaching surfing we guarantee you will stand up and ride your first waves in just one lesson! If you don’t, you get a free lesson. Our lesson begins on the beach with some theory and practicing the right movements and the position you have to use on the board. Then we go into the water and start surfing!

DINNER

After our day of full adventure and refreshing at the hotel we will depart to Mangrove Hotel. 

Dinner this evening will be at Makoko Restaurant, a restaurant with its own philosophy, we call this philosophy "makoko". Because a gastronomical experience isn’t confined by language and a savory dish on your table; it includes well-being, versatility, artistry and personalized attention. If good food is the way to the heart, Makoko is the scenic route. 

DAY FOUR

MORNING

The morning has been left at leisure

AFTERNOON

While enjoying a private gourmet barbeque, you will be entertained by live music and a live painting by one of South America’s foremost artists, Carlos Hiller. Hiller is known the world over for his life like depictions of oceanic beauty which will surely make for a memorable backdrop to your one of a kind  dining experience. 

EVENING

Our  last dinner will be at La Senda closing with the Bosque Misterioso event, a guided night walk through the dry tropical forest of Guanacaste full of magical light, an inspiring talk about the spirits of nature, a walk in the biggest labyrinth in the world followed by an illuminating explanation about the construction and the purpose of the labyrinth, a gourmet dinner buffet served by elemental beings, accompanied by music and a lively dance party under the star-lit sky. 

In this event we seek to become aware of the Spirits of Nature, also called Elementals, and their importance for human beings. We will be guided by the wisdom of the Deva Queen and her connection to the elemental energies. Although we know those elementals from our childhood fairy tales: fairies, gnomes, elves, goblins, etc... , we have never been told about the invisible energy they really are. Around the world people have represented them in different ways, but in reality they are the environmental intelligence of the Earth that cares for our planet; they are the consciousness of Nature. 

DAY FIVE - LEISURE AT ANDAZ

MORNING

The day has been left at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities.

Enjoy an early lunch or brunch at leisure at your own choice of the hotels restaurant, with an allowance provided.

Return coach transfers will take us to Liberia Airport before the flight departs for the UK connecting via Miami.
