Visit the closest active volcano ¨Irazu¨ from the Capital City of San Jose and then relax at a thermo-mineral pool surrounded by beautiful sceneries and coffee plantations. On the way from Irazu Volcano to Orosi Valley you will have time to visit the Ujarras Ruins & Gardens.

The Irazu Volcano (Volcán Irazú) is situated in the Cordillera Central just a few kilometers from Cartago, and it is a relatively short and pleasant drive from the Capital city of San Jose.

It should be mentioned, that on a clear day you can actually see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans!

After an exciting tour of the volcano, we will descend to the city of Cartago. Here will visit the mysterious ruins of Ujarras & Gardens, and then you will have some time to enjoy a Coffee Tour, lunch and time for a relaxing bath at the Chucaras Hot Springs.

Recommendations: Light Jacket, comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, camera, poncho, comfortable clothing, jeans or shorts, a change of clothes, swimsuit & towel. Cash for any additional expenses.
